Quality

All our staff are general physiotherapists. Patients of all ages with physical problems for which you would normally consult a physiotherapist may come to us. We are registered in accordance with statutory requirements and those of our professional association. However, we always go much further than the requirements of these minimum standards.

We are passionate about our profession: this means you can rely on us to always do our utmost to treat you. This also applies to discussions with colleagues, during professional training or at conferences. We maintain contacts at national and international level so we can keep learning and pass on what we have learned from patients. We believe that these efforts increase the chance that your health will improve, and also that we will improve as professionals.

Quality standards

We comply with the obligations associated with registration in the Centraal Kwaliteitsregister (CKR) (Central Quality Register) of the professional association. The physiotherapists and observers at Fysioteam Nieuwmarkt are BIG registered. (Individual Healthcare Professions Act (Wet op de Beroepen in de Individuele Gezondheidszorg)). Through continuing education, attending conferences and reading professional literature, we stay up to date about the latest developments in our field. We attach great importance to following the international principles of Evidence-Based Medicine and Evidence-Based Practice.

Privacy

At Fysioteam Nieuwmarkt, no details from your patient file are passed on to third parties. Only those involved in your treatment have access, unless you have explicitly indicated that you do not wish this.

Rights and obligations

We comply with government legislation and regulations, and the ethics of our profession.

Complaints and disciplinary rules

In addition to the regulations with respect to your rights and obligations (and those of the practitioner) contained in the WMBO (Wet Medische Behandel Overeenkomst, Medical Treatment Agreement Act) we specifically refer to your rights as set out in the Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (Wet Kwaliteit, Klachten en Geschillen Zorg (WKKGZ).

We are covered by the disciplinary regulations of our professional organisation, the Royal Physiotherapy Society (Koninklijk Genootschap voor Fysiotherapie (KNGF)). For up-to-date information, please see the KNGF website or the Government site

If you have a complaint about your treatment or the actions of your physiotherapist, first try to resolve this with them.
